I had the brioche French toast which was made with brioche made on the premises. It was light and eggy and also spot on. Didn't really even need the syrup. The service was friendly and helpful. The chef introduced himself to the patrons of the restaurant. He was so proud and he definitely had reason to be. The menu was creative without it being pretentious. Drawbacks was the coffee. Had barista coffee. My husband and I ordered cappuccinos. They were weak , small and heavy on the milk. Very little froth. Didn't fill the cup even. Will try just the coffee next time but not very promising.

It is unique,... read more especially in a non-tourist neighborhood, a neighborhood of regular, working class people, to be serving things like Pumpkin Bread French Toast, Balaclava Pancakes, Peanut Butter French Toast, and the lightest and some of thr largest omelette filled with well rendered veggies and cheeses and meats. Everything is fresh....you can tell. Everything is made with love of food and total regard for the patron....and you can tell. The owner came out and gave hugs and we had a heady and funny conversation as if we were in a living room and the best of friends and not in his restaurant , which he co-owns and co-runs with his father. Believe me, this is a place to fully experience and revel in.....over and over and over again.
